Mestre Cícero Mestre Cícero (Cícero Gabriel Pinto) was born June 20th 1961 in Jaguapita, Paraná., Brazil, and started working when he was 15 years old, doing construction work. After moving to Campinas looking for a better life, he started Capoeira in 1980 with Mestre Tarzan, from Capoeira Beira-Mar. At that time he was also a truck driver. Later on he focused just on Capoeira, opening his academy “Ritmo Brasil” (Brazil Rhythm) in 1986 together with Mestre Quito, a very close friend until today. He started going to batizados and other events with the Cordão de ouro around 1988, and graduated as a Mestre in 1989 by Mestre Tarzan. One year later he joined Cordão de Ouro, after being invited by Mestre Suassuna. Mestre Suassuna considers him one of his right hand men and a very close friend. Well known all over Brazil, Mestre Cícero has traveled extensively to promote Capoeira and the Group Cordão de Ouro. Mestre Cícero has traveled to USA and Switzerland several times, teaching workshops and participating in Batizados. He is also Instructor Pai Pequeno, Instructor Pedro, and Contra Mestre Paulo Batuta’s direct Mestre. He enjoys going around and meeting people from differend places, but the only thing that bothers him is that unfortunately he is still afraid of flying on airplanes... Currently Mestre Cícero teaches in Campinas, São Paulo, Brazil, and working with him he has 2 Contra Mestres, 1 Professor, and 7 instructors. www.cordaodeourocampinas.com.br
